Palestinian man killed by Israeli forces in West Bank raid

Occupied West Bank (QNN)- A Palestinian man was shot in the head and killed by Israeli occupation forces during an Israeli military raid into the town of Aqqaba in the northern occupied West Bank on Friday morning.

The Palestinian Health Ministry confirmed that 36-year-old Palestinian Abdelrahim Ghannam was critically injured in the head after being shot with a live bullet by Israeli occupation forces during a military raid into Aqqaba town. The man died of his critical wounds about an hour later.

Local sources reported that Israeli occupation forces raided the town in the early morning hours. They attacked the residents by intensively firing live bullets and rubber-coated metal bullets, and sound bombs, injuring four Palestinians, including Ghannam.

The killing came amid a spike in Israeli attacks against Palestinians in the occupied West Bank.

At least 225 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli occupation forces and settlers in the occupied West Bank, Jerusalem and Gaza Strip since the start of 2023, including 43 children.

In August, 19 Palestinians were killed by Israeli forces and settlers in the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem.
