Palestinian fatally shot by Israeli forces near Ramallah
Ramallah (QNN)- A Palestinian man was fatally shot by Israeli occupation forces near an Israeli military checkpoint, northwest of Ramallah in the occupied West Bank early Friday morning.
The Palestinian Health Ministry confirmed that a 29-year-old Palestinian man, identified as Mahdi Biadsa, was shot and killed near the Rantis Checkpoint, northwest of Ramallah.
The Israeli military claimed the man was killed after he assaulted an Israeli soldier and attempted to snatch his weapon after he arrived from the Israeli side of the checkpoint in a car that had apparently been stolen.
Since the start of 2023, Israeli occupation forces have killed 113 Palestinians in the West Bank, including occupied Jerusalem, according to the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA).
