Palestinian detainee suspends hunger strike over administrative detention

Jenin (QNN) – The family of the Palestinian detainee Mahmoud al-Saadi reported that their son had suspended his hunger strike following promises by the Israeli prison administration not to extend his administrative detention.

Al-Saadi’s family told QNN that the lawyer visited their son yesterday, and informed them that his health status has deteriorated as a result of his dry hunger strike for several days.

Mohammed has been detained in Hudarim prison since May 2020. He spent a total of about 10 years in the Israeli occupation prisons.

Mohammed suffers from several health problems due to a previous injury, including kidney problems. Al Saadi is married and a father of eight children.
