Palestine to chair European Mediterranean Regulators Group in 2020
SARAJEVO, (QNN) – Palestine was unanimously elected as vice chair of the European Mediterranean Regulators Group (EMERG) for this year and chair for 2020, the Palestinian Ministry of Telecommunications has said.
It said Palestine was elected during the EMERG plenary assembly held in the Bosnia and Herzegovina capital of Sarajevo in the presence of around 30 members from the European Union and the Middle East and North Africa region. It will succeed Bosnia as chair of the organization in 2020.
EMERG was established on 1 July 2008 in Malta as an independent platform of National Regulatory Authorities for Electronic Communications Networks and Services.
