Over 60 Palestinians detained by Israeli forces in occupied West Bank, Jerusalem
Occupied Palestine (QNN) – The Israeli occupation forces launched on Sunday and during Monday overnight a large-scale detention campaign across the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem, detaining more than 60 Palestinian citizens.
The Israeli occupation forces concentrated in their campaign on occupied Jerusalem, where they detained more than 50 Palestinian citizens.
The detention campaign targeted several areas in occupied Jerusalem, including the Al-Aqsa Mosque, the Old City, the Bab al-Amud area, Salah Edin Street, Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood, in addition to the towns of At-Tur, Jabel Mukaber, Silwan, and Shufat.
In addition, the Israeli occupation forces violently beat up, brutalized, and assaulted the detained people before transferring them to detention centers.
Meanwhile, the Israeli occupation forces detained about 10 Palestinian youths during the confrontations that took place in different parts of the occupied West Bank towns and cities.
Three youths were detained by the Israeli occupation forces near the Al-Jalama checkpoint in northern Jenin, two others detained near the Huwara checkpoint in southern Nablus, while four other youths were detained during confrontations in Hebron and Tubas.
It’s noteworthy to mention that over 70,000 extremist Israeli settlers launched on Sunday the provocative flag march, heading to the Bab al-Amoud area and passing through the Old City, triggering wide confrontations and protests across occupied Jerusalem and West Bank.
