Over 30 People Survive in Gaza After Building Damaged by Israeli Airstrikes Collapses

Gaza (Quds News Network)- More than 30 people survived after their three-story home in Jabalia, northern Gaza, collapsed on Monday due to damage from Israeli attacks during the 15-month assault.
Local sources confirmed that over 30 people were sheltering in the building “due to the lack of any other options.” Abu Shadi, a resident of the home, added that they are “now without any shelter!”

Mahmoud Bassal, spokesperson for the Civil Defense in Gaza, stated that homes at risk of collapsing present a “serious threat to the lives of thousands of residents” seeking shelter inside them.
“Hundreds of homes across the Gaza Strip are at risk due to the damage caused by Israeli bombings and fires during the war,” he said following the collapse of the house.
He further added, “Thousands of families are living in dire and dangerous conditions, constantly facing the threat of death as they reside in homes on the brink of collapse.”
Since the ceasefire took effect on January 19, Israel restricted the entry of essential supplies into Gaza. On March 1, when the first phase of the ceasefire ended, it blocked the entry of all humanitarian aid into the enclave.
Heavy machinery for clearing debris and retrieving bodies remains restricted, with only nine machines allowed in, while at least 500 are required.
