Over 100 democratic representatives write letter against Trump’s ME plan

Washington (QNN)- 107 Democratic members of Congress sent a letter to President Donald Trump on Thursday, strongly disapproving Trump’s Middle East peace plan released last week.
In the letter, the House members state that the plan will push toward further conflict in Palestine and that the proposal gives the occupation state a “license to violate international law” by annexing settlements in the West Bank.
107 members signed the letter, including Reps. Alan Lowenthal (D-CA) and Andy Levin (D-MI). Other representatives like Reps. Elissa Slotkin (D-MI), Joe Kennedy III (D-MA), Abigail Spanberger (D-VA), Ayanna Pressley (D-MA), Ilhan Omar (D-MN), and 2020 presidential candidate Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI) also signed the letter.
The letter stated that Trump’s administration “developed a proposal without consulting Palestinians and that no Palestinian leadership could plausibly accept” such proposal.
