One settler dead in Yemeni drone strike
Occupied Palestine (Quds News Network)- A massive explosion took place on Ben Yehuda Street in Greater Tel Aviv, within the occupied territories, on the early hours of Friday morning. The explosion, caused by a drone from Yemen, resulted in one death and multiple injuries, according to Israeli figures.
Israeli media confirmed that eight settlers were evacuated with shrapnel injuries for medical treatment. A man’s body was found on a side street.
Avichay Adraee, an Israeli occupation army spokesperson, revealed that the early morning explosion in Tel Aviv was caused by a falling aerial object without triggering an alarm. A senior Israeli military official noted that the drone was large and capable of flying long distances.
The Yemeni Armed Forces claimed responsibility for the operation, executed with an undetectable drone. They stated the attack was a response to Israeli aggression in Gaza. The new drone type, dubbed “Jaffa,” targeted an important site in the occupied Jaffa area, bypassing enemy intercept systems and evading radar detection. The armed forces declared the occupied Jaffa area unsafe, marking it a primary target.
The commander of the Tel Aviv area in the Israeli occupation army mentioned that a suspicious object exploded mid-air, with fragments hitting buildings in central Tel Aviv. Israeli occupation police closed the explosion area for a thorough search and inspection.
This marks the first instance of a drone reaching deep into occupied territories without interception by air defense systems.
