One of the Deadliest Days: Over 120 Palestinians Killed in Israeli Strikes Across Gaza
Gaza (Quds News Network)- At least 120 Palestinians, most of them children, have been killed since dawn on Thursday in deadly Israeli attacks targeting crowded residential areas, tents, a clinic, and civilian gatherings across the Gaza Strip. According to local sources, at least 13 crowded homes and a number of tents and civilian sites were targeted without any warning across Khan Younis city, killing at least 61. Among the targeted families: al-Lahham, al-Zaytani, al-Bayouk, and Kawari'. The attacks have wiped out entire families. Medical staff at Nasser Medical Complex reported an influx of casualties, many of them children. “A harrowing night, hospitals in Khan Younis were overwhelmed with injured children as the relentless attacks continued. Several journalist colleagues put down their cameras to assist medical teams in receiving and comforting the young victims,” a Gaza journalist wrote. Among those killed in Khan Younis were journalists Hassan Samour and Ahmed al-Helou. Samour and 11 members of his family were killed when an Israeli strike targeted their home in Bani Suheila, a town east of Khan Younis. Al-Helou was killed along with his brother following an Israeli strike that targeted a civilian gathering near Hamad City. Al-Helou worked in design and video editing at Quds News Network Arabic. In Jabalia camp in northern Gaza, an Israeli strike on al-Tawbah medical clinic and a prayer room in the same building killed at least 15 people and wounded several others, the Health Ministry said. Journalists and residents reported that this Thursday was one of the deadliest days in recent weeks. Israeli forces have killed more than 53,000 Palestinians in the Gaza Strip since October 2023, including at least 15,000 children. At least 10,000 more people are missing and presumed dead, while nearly 120,000 have been wounded.
