One of Gaza’s Deadliest Days: Over 70 Killed in Israeli Strikes, Says Civil Defense

Gaza (Quds News Network)- Since early Tuesday, Gaza City has witnessed one of its deadliest days, as Israeli airstrikes struck over 25 residential buildings and five civilian gatherings, killing around 70 people, including 11 aid seekers, 12 children, and 14 women.

According to Gaza Civil Defense spokesperson Mahmoud Basal, more than 200 people were injured in the attacks, many of them critically.

In a statement, Basal confirmed that emergency teams are continuing rescue and recovery efforts at the Abu Samra family home, which was hit in the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood in eastern Gaza City. Over 30 people remain trapped beneath the rubble of the six-story building.

More than 25 people, including both casualties and survivors, remain trapped beneath the rubble of the Al-Dahdar family home in the Al-Tuffah neighborhood of eastern Gaza City following an Israeli strike.

Basal stated that rescue teams have been unable to reach several affected areas due to continued and repeated Israeli attacks.

Aid seekers were killed by Israeli gunfire near the US-Israeli backed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) aid sites in central and southern Gaza.
