One fisherman wounded by Israeli fire in Gaza

Gaza (QNN)- One Palestinian fisherman was reportedly wounded by Israeli forces while fishing off the coast of northern Gaza on Sunday.

Local sources said that the fisherman was on his boat when Israeli soldiers opened fire at him, wounding him with a rubber-coated metal round.

The fisherman was evacuated to the Shifa’ hospital. His wound was described as being slight to moderate.

Palestinian fishermen have been subjected to repeated assaults by the Israelis, who shrank Gaza’s fishing zone in several incidents and targeted fishermen with arrests or confiscation of boats and fishing equipment.
