On first anniversary of March of Return protests, Israel killed 273 Palestinians, including 51 children
Ramallah (QNN) – The total number of Palestinians killed since the beginning of the March of Return protests on the Gaza-Israel border one year ago is 273, including 51 minors and 5 women, according to a report by Abdullah Hourani Center for Studies and Documentation.
It said in a report published on the eve of the 1st anniversary of the protests, which coincides on March 30, that 30,000 Palestinians were injured, more than half of them from inhaling teargas fired by Israeli forces during the protests and were treated at the scene of the protests. In the meantime, others had to be moved to hospitals, including 4700 minors.
It also said that three paramedics were among those who were killed and 670 medical staff members were injured, adding that two journalists were also killed, while dozens were injured, stressing that Israeli soldiers deliberately target media and medical staffs.
The report noted that Israeli authorities still hold bodies of 11 slain Palestinians, considered it a clear violation of international law.
