Ramallah (QNN)- The Ministry of Education revealed on Monday that the occupation state killed two Palestinian schoolchildren, arrested 161 students and 17 teachers, wounded 175 students and 120 teachers, held 101 students and 40 teachers, and hindered children from safely reaching their schools in 4576 cases for students and 859 for teachers.
The ministry stated in a report, issued to mark the International Day of Education, that the occupation state continued to commit violations against education in Palestine, especially in Jerusalem, Hebron, and Gaza.
The report added that the occupation state also demolished two schools and issued demolition notices against other schools. 49 schools were subjected to different forms of violations as well.
The total studying hours that were missed due to Israeli violations reached 3071.5. Meanwhile, the Israeli authorities have carried out a vicious campaign against the Palestinian curriculum.
The report also noted that the occupation state continues to prevent the construction of new schools, which pushed Palestinians to turn portacabins into schools in order to ensure that all Palestinian children are not denied their right to education.
