OCHA: One martyr, 26 house demolitions by ‘Israel’ in two weeks

Ramallah (QNN)- The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs Unesco, Environment, Convention (OCHA) said that the occupation state killed three Palestinians in the West Bank this year, the most recent was in Nablus last 19 March.

The report on the protection of civilians in armed conflict, covering the period between 16 to 29 March, said that the occupation state demolished 26 houses in the West Bank and Jerusalem, displacing and harming 125 citizens including 15 children.

According to the report, ‘Israel’ demolished 26 houses in area C under the pretext of being built without permission, displacing 34 citizens, including 15 children, and harming 40 others.

In eastern Nablus, the occupation state demolished 22 buildings and confiscated eight tents, displacing 18 citizens. 11 houses were also demolished in the Bedouin community of Nuwei’meh Al Foqa, harming 21 citizens.

In eastern Jerusalem, ‘Israel’ demolished four buildings, three of them were forcefully demolished by their owners, displacing 12 citizens.

In the same vein, Israeli forces arrested 115 Palestinians in the West Bank in the last two weeks, including five children.

They also wounded 63 Palestinians during different weekly protests throughout the West Bank.

The report also mentioned that a Palestinian shepherd was wounded when Israeli unexploded ordnance exploded in Jericho. 40 others were suffocated with poisonous tear gas, while 16 were wounded with bullets and seven were physically attacked.
