Occupying Israeli troops carry out widespread arrests in the West Bank

Ramallah (Quds News Network) – Israeli occupation forces have intensified their extensive detention campaign in the West Bank, apprehending a minimum of 14 Palestinians, including a minor, during recent hours through a series of incursions into Palestinian cities, towns, villages, and refugee camps across the occupied region.

In the northern Tulkarm province, Israeli forces stormed the village of Qaffin, conducting searches and subsequently detaining four Palestinians from their family residences.

Moving eastward to Jericho in the West Bank, an Israeli army unit broke into the Ein as-Sultan refugee camp, where they detained a 16-year-old individual named Hani Sarafandi. The arrest followed a search of Sarafandi’s family home, during which the soldiers vandalized its contents.

In the Ramallah province, the Israeli military conducted raid and search operations in the town of Deir Abu Meshaal, arresting several local residents after storming their homes. Additionally, forces stormed the Al-Amaari refugee camp in Ramallah, detaining two individuals following house searches.

Heading south to Hebron in the West Bank, Israeli army raids in the town of Surif led to the arrest of at least two Palestinians. During these operations, the military confiscated approximately 30,000 shekels (equivalent to about $8,300) from the residence of Sameeh Aabed, a local Palestinian resident.

In the northern province of Tubas, forces entered the Al-Far’a refugee camp, detaining a wounded young Palestinian named Anas Nassr Sawalmeh from inside an ambulance. Sawalmeh had previously been shot and injured by Israeli troops during the camp’s storming. Soldiers intercepted the Red Crescent vehicle he was in, en route to the hospital, and subsequently detained him, as reported by local sources.
