North Gaza: Over 1,200 Palestinians killed in Israeli attacks in weeks-long assault and siege
Gaza (Quds News Network)- More than 1,200 Palestinians have been killed in northern Gaza in Israeli attacks amid weeks of relentless bombardment and military siege.
Dr Munir al-Bursh, director general of the Palestinian health ministry, stated that the Israeli forces have killed more than 1,200 Palestinians in northern Gaza amid ongoing “genocide and ethnic cleansing.”
Al-Barsh said that Israel continues to “commit massacres and target shelters and civilians in Beit Lahiya and Jabalia, resulting in dozens of martyrs and injuries amid a deteriorating healthcare system.”
Israel has been conducting air and ground assaults and maintaining a siege on northern Gaza for 28 consecutive days.
According to the Palestinian Civil Defence, more than 100,000 people remain trapped in the north without food and water and dozens remain buried in the rubble of bombed homes, with rescue workers unable to reach them due to Israel’s ongoing siege and attacks.
Israel says it will open the Rafah crossing only for individuals and under full Israeli control, while continuing to block the entry of aid and goods into Gaza, tying any broader opening to the recovery of an Israeli soldier’s body despite the ceasefire terms.
US Attorney General Pam Bondi says the Justice Department will seek the death penalty for Elias Rodriguez after an incident against former Israeli soldiers at the Israeli Embassy in Washington, a move she announced at a Florida Zionist conference while framing the case within a broader crackdown on alleged ‘antisemitism’ .
