NGO: ‘Israel’ moves one of Gilbou’s six breakers to solitary confinement
Occupied Palestine (QNN)- Israeli occupation authorities have moved Palestinian detainee and one of Gilbou’s six breakers, Zakaria Zubaidi, to solitary confinement in Ayalon Prison.
The Palestinian Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs said on Monday that Zakaria Zubaidi has been held in harsh conditions since he was rearrested along with the five other detainees who once decided to free themselves in September.
Israeli prison services had prevented clothes and underwear reaching him, the Commission said.
The family of Mohammad Arda, who liberated himself along with Al-Zubaidi, said he had been moved from Ohli Kedar Prison to an unknown location.
However, no reasons have been given as to why the two detainees were moved, the Commission noted.
Six Palestinian detainees managed to free themselves on September 6 2021, from Gilbou prison, a high-security Israeli prison, through a secret tunnel they had reportedly dug beneath the prison.
The Gilbou’s six breakers are: Mahmoud Arda, Mohammad Arda, Ayham Kamanji, Yaaqob Qadri, Zakaria Zubaidi, and Munadel Infeiat.
Four of the six breakers, Mahmoud Arda, Mohammad Arda, Qadri, Zubaidi, were rearrested by the Israeli occupation on September 11, after five days of large-scale sweep operations throughout occupied Palestine using high-tech systems and the two others, Infeiat and Kamanji, were rearrested on September 19, after 13 days.
