Newly Discovered Video Exposes Israeli Lies Regarding Attack on Clearly Marked Aid Convoy in Gaza

Gaza (Quds News Network)- A video obtained by The New York Times exposes Israel’s lies that its forces targeted a Gaza aid convoy by mistake. The footage, taken by a Palestinian paramedic later found dead in a mass grave, shows a group of ambulances and a fire truck clearly marked and with emergency lights on before coming under Israeli fire.

The convoy, consisting of 14 aid workers from the Palestine Red Crescent and Gaza Civil Defense, was targeted on March 23 near Rafah. All were later discovered buried with their vehicles in a shallow mass grave. The paramedic who recorded the video was found shot in the head.

In the video, the paramedic recites the Shahada—the Muslim declaration of faith—while under fire, saying goodbye to his mother and asking for forgiveness. Moments before, aid workers can be seen in uniform exiting marked vehicles to help wounded civilians. Then, Israeli gunfire erupts.

The Times verified the video’s location and time using satellite imagery and spoke with U.N. and Red Crescent officials. A U.N. diplomat who shared the video confirmed its authenticity but asked to remain anonymous.

Israel initially claimed the vehicles were moving “suspiciously” without lights. The video shows the opposite—lights flashing and sirens on. A Red Crescent spokesperson, Nebal Farsakh, confirmed that the medic filmed his own death as he tried to save lives.

Dr. Ahmad Dhair, a forensic expert in Gaza, examined several bodies. He confirmed multiple gunshot wounds, including headshots. The Red Crescent said one paramedic was detained and later released by Israeli forces, offering testimony that Israeli troops knowingly fired on the convoy.

The attack has sparked outrage. Dylan Winder, the Red Cross and Red Crescent’s U.N. representative, called it the worst assault on humanitarian workers since 2017. The U.N.’s human rights chief, Volker Türk, demanded an independent investigation and warned that the attack may constitute a war crime.

Israel has not commented on the video. One Red Crescent worker remains missing.

Since October 7, Israel has killed over 27 Red Crescent staff in Gaza. Humanitarian groups continue to face deadly threats as Israel intensifies its attacks, ignoring global calls for a ceasefire.
