New Israeli strike on Syria
Damascus(QNN)- The Israeli air force launched an airstrike on southern Syria claiming that the strike came to prevent an Iranian force from launching an attack on the occupation state with drones armed with explosives, the army said on Sunday early hours.
In a rare confirmation, Israel said it struck in Syria to “thwart a drone attack by the Iranian Revolutionary Guards’ elite Quds Force”. The Israeli occupation army said the foiled attack entailed launching several drones at targets in northern Israel. Later overnight Hezbollah said two Israeli drones crashed near Beirut.
Israel’s occupation army has deployed air defenses in northern occupied Palestine fearing possible retaliatory rocket fire. Authorities have not issued any special safety instructions for Israelis in northern occupied Palestine.
Earlier, Syrian state television reported explosions above Damascus and said air defenses had intercepted hostile targets.
