New details emerge on Tel Aviv operation: Seven settlers killed in Al-Qassam operation

Occupied Palestine (Quds News Network)- The Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, has claimed responsibility for the recent attack in Tel Aviv, known as Operation Yafa, which resulted in the deaths of seven Israeli settlers and left at least 16 others injured, some critically. The operation, executed by militants Muhammad Rashid Misk and Ahmad Abdul Fattah Al-Heimouni from Hebron, unfolded on October 1, 2024, during a period of heightened security alerts across the occupation state.

According to the statement from the Al-Qassam Brigades, the two militants infiltrated Israeli territory and successfully carried out operations at two different locations in the heart of Tel Aviv. They reportedly engaged in close-quarter combat, killing settlers at point-blank range before seizing an automatic weapon from an Israeli soldier.

This operation comes amid a series of significant resistance actions targeting the occupation state of Israel. The attack coincided with intense strikes against the heart of the Israeli establishment, including a major missile strike from Iran, which took place on the same day.

Initial reports indicate that six of the injured settlers are in critical condition, and Israeli sources suggest there may be discrepancies in casualty figures, with some outlets reporting as many as four deaths. This incident marks one of the deadliest attacks in Tel Aviv since the Second Intifada, highlighting ongoing tensions and violence in the region due to the Israeli genocide against the Palestinian people.

The Al-Qassam Brigades’ statement warned Israeli settlers that more such operations could follow, emphasizing that they will continue their fight against the Israeli occupation. They declared that the days ahead will bring further challenges to the Israeli state, as their militants are prepared to confront ongoing military crimes against Palestinian civilians, particularly in Gaza.
