Netanyahu told US Israel willing to strike Iranian military targets: Report
Occupied Palestine (Quds News Network)- Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has told the United States that Israel is willing to strike Iranian military targets and not nuclear or oil ones, the Washington Post reported on Monday, citing two officials familiar with the matter.
Netanyahu has told the Biden administration that he would strike military targets rather than Iran’s oil infrastructure or nuclear installations, the Post said.
On October 1, Iran fired a barrage of ballistic missiles at Israel in retaliation to Israel’s assassinations of senior Hezbollah, Hamas and Iranian officials.
Israel has vowed to respond. “This attack will have consequences,” Israel Defense Forces spokesman Daniel Hagari said. “We have plans, and we will operate at the place and time we decide.”
US President Joe Biden said he does not support any potential Israeli retaliatory strike on Iranian nuclear sites, adding the US “will be discussing with the Israelis what they’re gonna do”.
