Netanyahu: “The US Controls Me? That’s Not True”

Occupied Palestine (QNN)- Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who is wanted by the ICC for war crimes in Gaza, said Israel acts independently in its security decisions. He stressed that his government will decide which foreign forces are unacceptable in Gaza.

“There are claims that the US controls me and dictates Israel’s security policy. That is not true,” Netanyahu said at a cabinet meeting on Sunday.

Netanyahu highlighted cooperation with Washington in securing the release of living Israeli soldier prisoners and returning the bodies of the dead. He added that Israel and the US are “reshaping the Middle East together.”

“Our relationship with Washington is a partnership,” he claimed. “This partnership has reached its peak, especially during operational cooperation in the second phase of the war on Iran.”

He emphasized: “We control our security. We have made it clear to international forces which troops are unacceptable to us. This is how we act, and we will continue to act this way.”

Netanyahu’s remarks follow visits by senior US officials last week aimed at maintaining the truce.

After two years of Israeli genocide in Gaza, a ceasefire was reached through Trump’s mediation. But Israel has violated Trump’s truce dozens of times since.
