Netanyahu storms Susya heritage site in Hebron under heavy guard
Occupied Hebron (QNN)- The Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday stormed Susya heritage village in Masafer Yatta in southern occupied Hebron under heavy guard and dozens of settlers.
The Israeli army closed Masafer Yatta and announced it as a military zone. It also set military barriers, preventing activists and journalists from reaching the area.
Shortly before Netanyahu arrived, Israeli forces repressed a peaceful protest in the village that rejected Netanyahu’s raid. The soldiers attacked locals and activists using stun and tear gas bombs.
Netanyahu’s raid took place under the pretext of opening a settlement heritage site. The Ministery of Foreign Affairs condemned the raid especially as happened only a few hours after a settlers’ attack on a family in the village.
