Netanyahu says he will never recognize Palestine

Occupied Palestine (QNN)- Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Tuesday that he does not want to bring the vote to recognize Palestine as a state in the Knesset or cabinet meetings, the head of the coalition, Knesset member Mickey Zohar, tweeted.

Zohar added that the peace plan between the occupation state and Palestine put forward by US President Donald Trump is a historic plan because it gives ‘Israel’ domination over more Palestinian land as, according to Trump’s plan, no settlers will be forced to empty the West Bank settlements, which are illegal under international law, and the occupation state will control the main roads.

Netanyahu has been clear that he has no plans to bring acceptance of a Palestinian state – which is part of the Trump plan – to a vote in the cabinet or the Knesset in the near future.

Zohar’s tweet came in response to an intense campaign by leaders of the extremist settlement Yesha Council against Trump’s plan, specifically their fear that it would create a Palestinian state.

Israeli illegal settlers express their fear of the creation of a Palestinian state, that they have honed their message to focus on the prevention of establishing a Palestinian state.

“There must be sovereignty, even if it is in stages, but in no way can there be a Palestinian state, nor a [settlement building] freeze, and no enclave settlements,” Yesha Council CEO Yigal Dilmoni said.

Meanwhile, Netanyahu has made clear that he has no plan to freeze settlement construction, and that he will present a form of geographical communication between settlements.

According to the latest Israeli surveys, the numbers of Israeli illegal settlers in the West Bank and the Jordan Valley have reached over 463,000 settlers, living in over 150 settlements and 128 outposts that are deemed illegal according to international law.

Trump’s plan promises to annex illegal settlements and legalize the Israeli occupation of the West Bank and the Jordan Valley while creating a quasi-state for the Palestinian people.
