Netanyahu renews West Bank annexation vow, Gantz concurs
Occupied Palestine (QNN)- Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Tuesday renewed a vow to annex illegal settlements in the West Bank in addition to the Jordan Valley and northern Dead Sea as the embattled leader kicked off a third election campaign in under a year.
Addressing right-wing Likud Party supporters at a campaign launch event in occupied Jerusalem, Netanyahu promised to “impose Israeli sovereignty on the Jordan Valley and northern Dead Sea,” then pledged to annex all Israeli West Bank settlements “without exception.”
In the same context, The head of Israeli Blue and White party, Benny Gantz, expressed support on Tuesday for annexing the Jordan Valley, calling it the occupation state’s “eastern defensive wall.”
The occupation state has captured the West Bank among other areas in 1967 and started ever since imposing measures that were deemed by the international community as an occupation.
The Zionist state never stopped swallowing land through land-grabbing and settlements, which is considered illegal according to international law.
