Netanyahu Orders Mossad to Find Countries for Gaza’s Forced Expulsion

Occupied Palestine (Quds News Network)- ICC-wanted Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has instructed the Mossad to find countries willing to accept large numbers of Palestinians, who will be expelled from Gaza, according to a report by Axios.

Two Israeli officials and a former U.S. official confirmed that Netanyahu gave the order weeks ago. Israeli representatives have already discussed the issue with Somalia, South Sudan, and Indonesia, among other nations, according to the report.

This move comes after widespread rejection of U.S. President Donald Trump’s proposal to expel Gaza’s entire population of over two million people. Trump had suggested turning the enclave into a “Middle Eastern Riviera” after expelling its residents.

Israel’s Cabinet recently approved a new directorate within the Defense Ministry to oversee what it calls the “voluntary departure” of Palestinians from Gaza. However, far-right Israeli ministers have advocated harsher measures, including destroying food supplies, water infrastructure, and electricity to force Gazans to leave.

According to Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich, the government is actively working on logistics to facilitate Palestinian “migration”. He estimated that if 5,000 people left Gaza daily, it would take a year to ethnically cleanse the territory.

Israeli media reports suggest that military strategies will support the displacement plan. These include expanding military control over Gaza, enforcing evacuations, tightening the blockade, and strictly monitoring humanitarian aid entering the Strip.

Despite months of genocide and humanitarian catastrophe, Palestinians reject to leave their homeland. Arab and Western nations have also opposed any large-scale displacement. Legal experts warn that such actions constitute war crimes under international law.

Since October 2023, Israel’s genocide has killed more than 50,000 people in Gaza, according to the health ministry. While a small number of injured Palestinians have been allowed to leave, no country has agreed to accept a mass influx of refugees.
