Netanyahu joins surrounding dictators becoming longest-serving Israeli PM

Occupied Palestine (QNN)- Benjamin Netanyahu has become Israel‘s longest-serving prime minister, snatching the title from the country’s founding father and first leader, David Ben-Gurion ad joining Arab dictators in surrounding kingdoms and republics.
As of Saturday, the man referred to as ‘King Bibi’ by both those who adore and detest him, has spent 4,867 days – more than 13 years – in office.
He secured his fifth term earlier this year but has called fresh elections after failing to form a government.
Just like his dictator friends, Mr. Netanyahu is currently facing a series of possible corruption charges and calls for him to resign.
He has denied any wrongdoing and alleges that the case is politically motivated.
Mr Netanyahu won his first election in 1996, becoming Israel’s youngest-ever prime minister at the age of 46. He is also the first leader born after the creation of ‘Israel’.
While Netanyahu remains popular with his right-wing party base, he is a divisive figure in Israel, where critics see him as venal and anti-democratic.
