Netanyahu: ICC is a political body that is hostile toward ‘Israel’
Netanyahu supported President Trump's decision to impose sanctions against the ICC employees investigating abuses by Americans and Israelis

(QNN) – Hailing President Trump’s decision to impose sanctions against the ICC employees investigating abuses by Americans and Israelis, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu wrote Today on Twitter that ICC is “hostile towards Israel.”
The court in The Hague is a political body that is hostile toward Israel, the US and other democracies that respect human rights even as it ignores other countries that violate human rights, especially – of course – the terrorist regime in Iran.

He also claimed, “the court invents absurd accusations against the State of Israel, including the scandalous claim that the presence of Jews in the heart of our homeland constitutes a war crime.”

In 2019, the chief prosecutor of the International Criminal Court said she would launch a full investigation into war crimes committed by the occupation state in Palestine.
However, Netanyahu said in a statement that the court has “no jurisdiction in this case.”
The court has no jurisdiction in this case. The ICC only has jurisdiction over petitions submitted by sovereign states. But there has never been a Palestinian state.

The ICC has the authority to hear cases of war crimes, genocide and crimes against humanity committed on the 123 countries that have signed up to it, however ‘Israel’ has not joined the court but the Palestinian Authority did.
