Netanyahu Demands More Bombing: "Destroy Homes, Bomb With Everything You Have" After Learning ‘Only’ 1,500 Targets Were Hit in Gaza
Gaza (Quds News Network)- Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu erupted in anger during a cabinet meeting at the outset of Israel’s genocide in Gaza. Then-Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi briefed ministers on the first 48 hours of attacks. He reported that the Israeli warplanes had struck 1,500 targets.
Netanyahu slammed the table and shouted, “Why not 5,000?”
Halevi responded, “We don’t have that many approved targets.”
Netanyahu dismissed the concern. “I don’t care about targets. Destroy houses. Bomb with everything you have,” he ordered.
Since October 7, 2023, Israel has been committing genocide in Gaza. Human rights organizations and media documented how the Israeli military carried out mass arrests, extrajudicial killings, and the torture of Palestinian detainees. Israel carpet-bombed the entire strip using heavy American boms, destroying homes, schools, and hospitals.
Israeli media and officials labeled all Palestinian casualties as “terrorists” and openly called for more war crimes.
From Tuesday to Thursday, Israeli airstrikes killed 591 Palestinians and wounded 1,042, mostly women and children.
A ceasefire and prisoner exchange deal began on January 19, 2025. The first phase ended on March 1. Netanyahu refused to implement the second phase. Hamas insists on its full execution, which includes ending the war and a complete Israeli withdrawal.
Netanyahu, wanted by the International Criminal Court, aims to secure more Israeli prisoners without honoring his commitments. The genocide has already caused over 162,000 Palestinian casualties, most of them children and women. More than 14,000 people remain missing.
Israeli human rights group B'Tselem's executive director, Yuli Novak, said: “The Israeli regime has turned its prisons into a network of torture camps for Palestinians, as part of a coordinated onslaught intended to destroy Palestinian society as a collective.”
Israel says it will open the Rafah crossing only for individuals and under full Israeli control, while continuing to block the entry of aid and goods into Gaza, tying any broader opening to the recovery of an Israeli soldier’s body despite the ceasefire terms.
US Attorney General Pam Bondi says the Justice Department will seek the death penalty for Elias Rodriguez after an incident against former Israeli soldiers at the Israeli Embassy in Washington, a move she announced at a Florida Zionist conference while framing the case within a broader crackdown on alleged ‘antisemitism’ .
