MOH: Omicron patients in Palestine rise to 35

Ramallah (QNN)- The spokesperson for the Ministry Of Health, Kamal Al Shakhrah, said that the number of Palestinians infected with Omicron has risen to 35.

Al Shakhrah added in an interview with ‘Palestine’s Voice’ radio station that 90% of those infected came from abroad, while the rest had contacted Omicron patients.

He urged anyone, who arrives into the country, especially from countries where the new variant spreads, to quarantine for seven days until they make sure that they are not infected. He also warned that Palestine could be facing a new wave of infections unless people follow the preventive measures.

According to Al Shakhrah, until now there are 103 patients at hospitals, a number which is not concerning so far.

In the same vein, the Ministry of Health in Gaza said that it sent 100 random samples to Ramallah and it turned out that one of them is infected with Omicron varient.
