Ministry of Health refused to receive container of unidentified bodies from Israel

Gaza (Quds News Network)– The Ministry of Health announced today that Israel sent a container containing the remains of 88 unidentified Palestinians from the Gaza Strip. The bodies were returned without any information regarding their identities, origins, or the circumstances of their deaths. The remains arrived in body bags, some in advanced states of decomposition, raising concerns about whether the bodies had been tampered with or whether any organs had been taken.

The ministry revealed that it has temporarily suspended the acceptance of these remains until further information is provided to help families identify their loved ones. In a statement released on Wednesday, the ministry urged the International Red Cross to fulfill its responsibilities by ensuring that full details about each body, including where they were taken from, are made available.

The bodies were reportedly returned without names, ages, or any indication of where they were originally taken. The lack of transparency has prompted calls for clarity, with families and human rights groups demanding answers about the fate of the deceased.

In a related development, the Ministry of Health also announced today that the death toll from the ongoing Israeli genocide has now reached 41,495, with 96,006 injured. This marks the 355th day of Israel’s assault on Gaza, which began on October 7, 2023. The ministry’s report noted that in the last 24 hours alone, Israeli forces had carried out four massacres targeting families in Gaza, leaving 28 dead and 85 wounded. Many victims remain trapped under the rubble or in the streets, inaccessible to rescue teams due to the ongoing bombardment.

The ministry emphasized that a significant number of the dead and injured are women and children, reflecting the widespread devastation caused by the relentless Israeli airstrikes. Ambulance and civil defense crews are struggling to reach those still trapped, further exacerbating the humanitarian crisis.
