Military court sentences teenager to 8 months in jail over stone-throwing claims

Occupied Palestine (QNN)- An Israeli military court on Friday sentenced a 16-year-old Palestinian boy for 8 months in jail over stone-throwing claims.

The Israeli Salem military court on Friday sentenced Mustafa Husam Hantash (16 years old) to eight months in jail and imposed a 3000 NIS fine on him.

The Israeli army had arrested the teenager from his home town in Qalqilya on February 8, 2020, after accusing him of throwing stones at armed Israeli soldiers at the entrance to the city.

Israeli forces arrest Palestinian children from the West Bank and Jerusalem on a daily basis as part of its policy to impose sovereignty over the Palestinian territories.

Meanwhile, the Israeli army turns a blind eye, and sometimes backs, settlers’ attacks on native Palestinians and their property.
