Medics: Israeli army transforms Nasser Medical Complex into a military base

Khan Yunis (Quds News Network) – Israeli occupation forces have transformed the Nasser Medical Complex in Khan Yunis, located in the southern Gaza Strip, into a military base, rendering it non-functional and endangering the lives of patients and medical staff, according to local health reports.
The Israeli forces have reportedly confined medical personnel within the maternity ward for extended hours, subjecting them to physical assaults, handcuffing, and stripping them naked. This oppressive action has left only 25 medical professionals on duty at Nasser Medical Complex, struggling to manage cases requiring intensive care.
Among those arrested by Israeli forces inside the hospital is the intensive care unit (ICU) doctor. Additionally, dozens of patients in critical condition have been forcefully detained, loaded onto military trucks, and transported to an undisclosed location, intensifying concerns for their well-being.
Medical sources highlighted the severity of the situation, revealing that electricity has been deliberately cut off from the complex for three days, resulting in the halt of oxygen supply to patients. Tragically, seven patients have already lost their lives due to the lack of oxygen.
Furthermore, three women, including a pediatrician, are now in dire conditions, facing acute shortages of water, food, electricity, and sanitation. The power generators, vital for sustaining essential services, have remained non-operational for three days, worsening the already critical conditions.
