Massive crowds take part in Al-Nabulsi’s funeral procession in Nablus

Nablus (QNN)- Thousands of Palestinian mourners took part on Tuesday in the funeral procession of slain Palestinian resistance fighter Ibrahim al-Nabulsi who was assassinated by Israeli forces during a military raid into the Old City in the occupied West Bank city of Nablus.

The Palestinian mourners were seen gathering in and outside Nablus’s Rafidia Hospital ahead of the funeral processions of Al-Nabulsi, Islam Sabouh, and Hussain Jamal Taha, yesterday.

19-year-old Nabulsi, one of the most wanted resistance fighters by the Israeli occupation forces in Nablus and the head of Fatah’s armed wing, al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigades, was shot and seriously injured during exchanges of fire with Israeli soldiers in the heart of Nablus’ old city, on Tuesday morning.

He was later pronounced dead in Rafidia Hospital, along with Sabouh, 32, and Taha, 16.

Al-Nabulsi was inside a house where the fighters were barricading themselves in and which was cordoned off and blown up by the Israeli forces who fired an anti-tank missile toward it, killing him and Sabouh.

At least 40 more Palestinians were also wounded during confrontations with Israeli soldiers in the same raid. Taha was injured and killed during the furious confrontations.

Cities in the occupied West Bank, including Nablus, Hebron, Tulkarm, Jenin, Qalqilya, Bethlehem, Ramallah, Salfit, and Tubas, observed a commercial strike in protest of the killings in Nablus yesterday.
