Marcia Cross: Silence on Palestine ‘made me believe I am deaf’
Boston, Massachusetts (Quds News Network) – American actress Marcia Cross, renowned for her role as Bree Van de Kamp on the hit TV series ‘Desperate Housewives,’ has voiced her frustration over the silence surrounding the ongoing genocide perpetrated by Israeli forces against Palestinians in Gaza.
The 61-year-old star took to her Instagram page to share a poignant statement that reflected her struggle to comprehend the lack of response to the atrocities. Cross wrote, “I’m struggling to comprehend how to live among people with eyes that don’t water, hearts that don’t flinch, and voices that remain silent,” concluding her message with emojis of a broken heart and the flag of Palestine.
In her caption, she added, “There are no words for the horror that has and is being unleashed. And the silence has me believing I am deaf.”
This isn’t the first time Cross has used her platform to advocate for Palestine. Last November, she utilized her social media accounts to express support for the Palestinian people and condemn the Israeli bombing of hospitals.
On both Instagram and X, she shared posts depicting the suffering of Palestinian civilians, particularly children, under airstrikes, and openly criticized the Israeli aggression on Gaza. Her captions included powerful hashtags such as #CeasefireInGazaNOW, #ceasefire, and #StopBombingHospitals.
