Macron Assures Netanyahu That Israeli Companies Can Participate in Paris Air Show

Paris (Quds News Network)- Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office announced on Sunday that French President Emmanuel Macron assured him Israeli companies can participate in the upcoming Paris Air Show. The assurance came during a phone call between the two.

Netanyahu’s office stated that the discussion also covered developments in Lebanon and Gaza. The Élysée Palace has not commented on the conversation.

The Paris Air Show, the world’s largest aerospace exhibition, is scheduled for June 16-22, 2025. The event alternates every two years with the Farnborough Airshow in Britain and attracts leading companies in aerospace, aviation, and defense.

Tensions flared between France and Israel in May 2024 when the French government barred Israeli arms’ companies from the “Eurosatory” defense exhibition. The ban coincided with Israel’s genocide in Gaza. However, a French court overturned the ban in October, allowing Israeli firms to participate in a naval arms exhibition near Paris.

The recent ceasefire agreements between Israel and the resistance in Gaza, as well as a similar agreement with Hezbollah in Lebanon, appear to have eased tensions even as Israel is facing ICC arrest warrants over war crimes in Gaza and continues to attack Palestinians across historic Palestine. Macron’s assurance reflects improving relations and paves the way for Israeli participation in one of the industry’s most significant events.
