Life of hunger-striking administrative detainee in danger amid international disregard

Occupied Palestine (QNN)- The wife of the hunger-striking administrative detainee Maher Al Akhras told QNN that his condition is worsening. Al Akhras has been on a hunger strike for 84 days in protest against his administrative detention.

She told QNN that Maher is suffering from severe pains throughout his body and cannot speak or walk while his condition is worsening because of the Israeli rejection to end his administrative detention.

Human rights NGOs had warned that the life of Al Akhras is in danger and called on the international community to pressure the occupation state to release him.

The wife of Maher Al Akhras said that nothing new took place in this regard. “We heard that the Russian ambassador intervened to solve the problem but there are no development so far”, she said.
