Lebanese citizen downs Israeli drone using hunting rifle

South Lebanon (QNN)- The spokeswoman for the Israeli army announced on Sunday that an Israeli drone was downed near the Palestinian-Lebanese borders.

“There is no concern that any information was leaked,” the spokeswoman claimed.

Israeli media claimed that the drone crashed after it experienced a technical failure.

Lebanese media said that a citizen opened fire from his hunting rifle at the Israeli mavic pro drone and downed it.

It added that he downed the drone while it was flying over the separating wall, taking shots of houses near the wall and Fatima gate in the village of Kfar Killa near the borders with the occupied Palestinian territories.

Tensions have risen along the Israeli frontier with Syria and Lebanon this week after a fighter from Hezbollah was killed in an Israeli strike on the edge of Damascus.
