“Le Monde” questions Israel narrative about Shifa Medical Complex

Gaza (QNN)-A French newspaper has cast doubt on a video released by the Israeli military spokesperson regarding Gaza. The video alleged to show a “tunnel belonging to Hamas” beneath the Shifa Medical Complex in the Gaza Strip.

The French newspaper “Le Monde” stated that the analysis of the video released by the Israeli military, after the invasion of the Shifa complex, does not confirm the claims. The claims suggested that Al-Qassam Brigades had established a “command or intelligence operations center” at the location.

In its report, the newspaper explained that its team reconstructed maps of the passage shown by the Israeli military and stated that what was presented “does not rise to the level of an operational or strategic center or a weapons cache,” as alleged by the Israeli military.

The Israeli military committed massacres in the Shifa Medical Complex in Gaza after besieging it and preventing medical and food supplies. Moreover, this resulted in the killing of dozens of patients and injuries. The Israeli military also fired shells towards the Shifa’s buildings. Israel narrative about the Shifa complex sparked widespread outrage worldwide. However, it failed to prove that the Palestinian resistance factions, Al-Qassam Brigades, used it for military purposes.

Hamas and Palestinian resistance factions have repeatedly affirmed in several press conferences and meetings that they do not use hospitals. In addition, they called on the United Nations to form committees to verify this.

Throughout the days of aggression, the Israeli occupation targeted several hospitals in Gaza and its northern regions. Consequently, hundreds of Palestinians were killed, including a significant number of children and women.
