Breaking| Lawyer says Abu Hawwash faces possibility of sudden death

Occupied Palestine (QNN)- The lawyer of Hisham Abu Hawwash, Jawad Boulos, said that his client, who has been on a hunger strike for 138 days, is facing the possibility of sudden death and Israeli doctors refuse to provide information about his condition.

In a statement by the Detainees’ Association, Boulos said that according to a medical report by doctors from human rights watchdogs, Israeli doctors refuse to provide any information about the current medical condition of Abu Hawwash. The report decried previous decisions by Israeli doctors recommending sending Abu Hawwash back to prison despite his very serious condition.

The doctors in the report said they were astonished as it is one of the well-known medical axioms that those, who exceed the 55th day of hunger strike, face the possibility of sudden death and should remain in hospital.
