Journalist Eman Al-Shanti and Family Killed in Israeli Airstrike on Gaza

Gaza (Quds News Network)- Israeli airstrikes killed Palestinian journalist Eman Hatim Al-Shanti and her husband and three children on Wednesday. The attack targeted an apartment in Al-Malash Tower in Sheikh Radwan, northwest Gaza City.

The Government Media Office confirmed her death, raising the number of journalists killed since the start of the genocide, to 193. Hours earlier, Al-Shanti wrote on Facebook: “It is unbelievable that we are still alive? May God have mercy on the martyrs.”

The Palestinian Journalists Protection Center (PJPC) and the Palestinian Media Forum condemned the killing. They held Israel accountable for targeting journalists and violating international laws.

Eman Al-Shanti, 38, was a broadcaster at Voice of Al-Aqsa Radio. She was known for her program Asl Al-Qissa (The Root of the Story), which aired on social media platforms.

The Palestinian Media Forum mourned her loss and vowed to continue the work of fallen journalists who have sacrificed their lives for Palestine. The forum criticized international silence and the lack of action to protect Palestinian journalists.

The ongoing Israeli bombardment of Gaza has claimed over 44,805 lives and injured 106,257 people since the genocide began. This includes 193 journalists killed, 396 injured, and 40 detained.

The PJPC highlighted the dangers Palestinian journalists face while working under Israel’s media blackout. The organization noted that Israel continues to deny entry to foreign journalists, restricting coverage of the Gaza war.

Al-Shanti’s death adds to the growing toll on Palestinian journalists, who risk their lives to report the truth amid relentless violence.
