Jordanian patient prisoner in dire health condition
Ramallah (QNN)- The health condition of the Jordanian-Palestinian prisoner in the Israeli prison of Ofer, Abdurrahman Mar’ee (29 years old), is deteriorating, warned the Committee of Prisoners Affairs on Sunday.
The committee said in a statement that Mar’ee is facing a very serious health condition. He is already a cancer patient since 2010 and needs medical care and check-ups, however he has been medically neglected since he was arrested. No check-ups or medication were provided for him by the Israelis.
Israeli authorities had arrested Mar’ee in September 2, 2019 while he was traveling from Jordan to the West Bank to attend the wedding of one of his relatives.
Last week, Mar’ee threatened that he will go on hunger strike if the Israeli court upholds his administrative detention order, which was issued four months ago.
The occupation state is holding 25 Jordanian citizens in its jails, including Hiba Al Labadi, who has been on hunger trike for 27 days so far in protest against her administrative detention.
