Jordan condemns ‘Israel’ for allowing extremist settlers to break into at Al Aqsa

Amman (QNN) – The Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, on Thursday, condemned ‘Israel’ for allowing Jewish extremists to break into Al Aqsa Mosque, under the protection of the Israeli police.

Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Haitham Abu Alfoul stressed that Al Aqsa Mosque, with its total area of 144 dunums, is a place of worship for Muslims only, and that the Jerusalem and Aqsa Mosque Affairs Department is the only institution allowed to administer the affairs of Al Aqsa Mosque and organize entry to the mosque.

He called on ‘Israel’, as the occupying power, to stop all violations and actions against Al Aqsa Mosque, respect the sanctity of the mosque and halt all measures aiming at changes to the legal and historical status quo in the holy city of Jerusalem.

Around 800 Israeli colonial settlers stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque courtyards in occupied Jerusalem earlier on Thursday and performed provocative Talmudic rituals, according to local sources.

The sources reported that the Israeli occupation forces attacked and beat the Palestinian worshipers inside the holy site, fired tear gas canisters, sound bombs, and rubber-coated metal bullets towards the worshipers to disperse them, injuring at least 12 people.

It’s noteworthy that the al-Aqsa mosque Compound exposes on a daily basis to the storming of the Israeli settlers, at which they perform Talmudic rituals and discrete its sanctity.

The Israeli occupation seeks through its storming to the Al-Aqsa to devote the temporal and spatial division of the mosque and to Judaize the occupied Palestinian city of Jerusalem.
