Israel’s Shin Bet Chief’s Statement Exposes Netanyahu’s Sabotage of Prisoner Swap Talks

Occupied Palestine (Quds News Network)- Israel’s Shin Bet chief Ronen Bar has reavealed that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has been deliberately undermining prisoner exchange negotiations for political gain. In a letter to government ministers, Bar revealed that Netanyahu had blocked him from meeting with ministers over the past year to keep them uninformed about the talks.

Bar stated that Netanyahu’s goal was to engage in negotiations without actually reaching a deal. He described the process as a deliberate effort to stall rather than make real progress.

In the same vein, Hamas responded by calling Bar’s revelations proof that Netanyahu is the main obstacle to any agreement. The group stressed that Netanyahu has been manipulating negotiations, sidelining key security officials, and prolonging the suffering of prisoners and their families for political purposes.

Hamas urged U.S. officials to stop blaming the resistance movement for delays and instead hold Netanyahu accountable for disrupting the talks. The group reaffirmed that the only way to secure a prisoner exchange is to halt aggression, resume serious negotiations, and implement agreements without political interference.
