Israel’s Gaza siege: Three children killed in fire probably caused by candle

Gaza (QNN)- Three children have been killed on Tuesday night in a fire at their house in the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza.

A spokesman for the Palestinian civil defense told QNN that “three children from the family of Al Hazeen have been found dead in a fire at their house.”

He added that the civil defense works to find the cause of the fire.

Local sources said a candle caused the fire, which killed the children.

The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) said the horrible tragedy that took place last night brings back to mind scenes of dozens of Palestinian children, who were burnt to death in the besieged strip during the recent years, due to the power cut and Israeli ban on fuel imports.

In a statement issued today, the PFLP added that “the killers of those children are those, who have been besieging Gaza and depriving its people and children of their basic needs that would guarantee a decent livelihood for them.”

“The killers are those, who have been covering the Israeli repeated crimes against the strip”, he added.

Gaza has been suffering from a severe power crisis following the Israeli ban on fuel imports, which pushed Gazans to depend on traditional- but dangerous- lightning tools such like candles.
