Israel’s Ben-Gvir Says He Works to “Promote the Encouragement” of Ethnic Cleansing of Palestinians in Gaza
Occupied Palestine (Quds News Network)- Israel’s far-right National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir said he is working “hard to promote the encouragement” of the ethnic cleansing of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.
Netanyahu is showing “some openness” over the idea of “encouraging migration” of Palestinians from the Gaza Strip, the far-right minister reportedly told Army Radio.
“Ideas like settlement in Gaza are welcome; the only times we defeated our enemies were when we took territory from them,” he added.
“But that doesn’t satisfy me. I also want to encourage emigration [of Palestinians from Gaza].”
“I am working hard to promote the encouragement of migration from Gaza with the prime minister, and I am beginning to discover some openness on the matter,” he said.
Ben-Gvir also called for the Israeli attacks to be intensified in Gaza.
“We have a historic opportunity to collapse Hamas. We have a historic opportunity to restore deterrence, reoccupy the Gaza Strip and encourage voluntary emigration. This is what will bring peace to the south,” he claimed.
Former defense minister and military chief Moshe Ya’alon warned on Saturday Israel is “being dragged into ethnic cleansing in northern Gaza, effectively clearing the area of Arabs.”
“The path we are being dragged down is occupation, annexation and ethnic cleansing in the Gaza Strip,” Ya’alon told Democrat TV.
“Transfer, call it what you want, and Jewish settlements,” he said.
