Israelis attack farmers in Silwan, wounding ten

Occupied Jerusalem (QNN)- Nearly ten Palestinians were wounded on Thursday while they were defending their lands from the Israeli Nature and Parks Authority.

Ahmad Sumrein, a human rights activist, told QNN that crews from the Israeli Nature and Parks Authority accompanied by bulldozers raided the land of Muhammad Abbasi in Silwan to fence it.

He added that Abbasi, a Palestinian elderly man in his nineties, tried with his sons and grandsons to prevent the Israeli crews but they were sprayed with pepper gas, causing at least ten to be wounded and sent to a hospital.

Sumrein noted that the Israelis tried to fence the land violating a previous court rule that prevents them from working in Abbasi’s land. They claimed they were allowed to “clean” it only, which is what they claimed to be doing.
