Israeli Systems Fail to Intercept Lebanese Rockets Fired on Occupied Haifa, Leaving Five settlers Injured
Occupied Palestine (Quds News Network)- Israeli air defense systems failed to intercept rockets launched from Lebanon, striking occupied Haifa and leaving five Israeli settlers injured. One of the strikes, which occurred Sunday evening, targeted a building in the city, causing significant damage.
All efforts by Israel’s defense systems were unsuccessful. Earlier, air raid sirens blared across occupied Haifa and surrounding areas, signaling the incoming strikes.
The Israeli military had initially claimed success in intercepting two surface-to-surface rockets aimed at occupied Haifa and its outskirts, stating that their air force had neutralized the threat. However, Israeli media reports and footage of the strikes revealed that the rockets successfully hit their intended targets.
In the aftermath, reports indicated that shrapnel from the failed intercepts rained down on Haifa, adding to the chaos as thousands of settlers fled to shelters amid widespread panic.
Hezbollah claimed responsibility for the strikes, declaring it part of its ongoing Khaybar Operations in retaliation for Israeli airstrikes that have killed civilians. The group vowed to remain vigilant and defend Lebanon against Israeli aggression, reaffirming its readiness to respond to further attacks.
