Israeli Strike on Tent in Gaza’s Al-Mawasi Safe Zone Kills Four
Gaza (Quds News Network)- Four Palestinians were killed and dozens more injured on Monday morning when an Israeli strike hit a makeshift tent in the so-called al-Mawasi “safe zone” near Khan Younis in southern Gaza.
The makeshift tents are very close to each other. Some caught fire after the attack.
The injured Palestinians are being treated for burns caused by the artillery shelling that struck the tent.
The attack occurred in the al-Mawasi area, an Israeli-designated “safe evacuation zone,” which has sustained repeated deadly assaults by Israel since the beginning of the assault.
There have been near-daily attacks on tents housing displaced Palestinians in the zone since Israel violated the ceasefire in January and resumed the assault on March 18.
Supported by the US, Israel has carried out a campaign of genocide in Gaza since October 7, 2023. The assault has killed or wounded more than 175,000 Palestinians. Most of the victims are women and children. Over 11,000 remain missing under the rubble.
