Israeli Strike Hits PRCS Headquarters in Gaza’s Khan Younis, Killing One Staffer and Injuring Three Others
Gaza (Quds News Network)- A Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS) staff member was killed and three others wounded by an Israeli attack on its headquarters in Khan Younis in southern Gaza, early Sunday morning. “One Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS) staff member was killed and three others injured after Israeli forces targeted the Society’s headquarters in Khan Younis, igniting a fire on the building’s first floor,” the PRCS said in a post on X. The staff member was identified as Omar Islem. The Israeli military has repeatedly targeted hospitals and health facilities across Gaza since it began its assault in October 2023, pushing the healthcare system to the brink of total collapse. According to WHO, at least 94 percent of hospitals in the Gaza Strip have been damaged or destroyed amid an ongoing Israeli bombardment and blockade on aid, including food, fuel, and medicine.
